Remember that “Tower Defense” game Age of Defenders that came out a while back? It was very promising but let down its fans a bit when it didn’t release a single-player campaign, and the multiplayer-only game modes were constantly empty. The development team announced today that it in-fact has been working on the update and plans on releasing it very soon. The update includes quite a few tweaks and upgrades, as well as the long-awaited single player storyline.
The game originally was modeled in a tower defense like manner which allowed two players to be on either side of the field and fight each other by exploiting weaknesses in their defenses. The game became rather stale as the flawed upgrade system limited just how far you could go without having the same equipment as the other, resulting in a stalemate. The team stated that the new update would include 12 mission single player campaign, vastly improved upgrade system, and a new 3D graphics system resulting in far superior performance and graphics. The upgrade system will allow for extended gameplay with many different paths which should make the multiplayer far more enjoyable for all.
If you haven’t already played the game it is still very fun and competitive thanks to the cross-platform gameplay available in desktop browsers and tablets. If you already own the game, check out the blog post from the Age of Defenders website to take a look at some more of the update info. If you’re interested in purchasing the game, it’s available on the play store for $2.99.
