Owners of the Asus Eee Transformer, prepare to be disappointed. The promise of an update to Ice Cream Sandwich by February is now broken. Asus has provided itself with some release-date wiggle room, changing their anticipated upgrade time for Transformer owners to “February/March 2012.”
Now this could mean one of three things; we could see the update within a couple weeks, the next month or so, or sometime in the vague future if Asus chooses to just push it again.
With how things went down with the Transformer Prime and it’s upgrade to ICS (smoothly and quickly), a let down from Asus wasn’t really anticipated. The news was released to the public through Singapore’s Facebook, with any explanation.
