TPU cases are probably the most widely used style of smart phone case on the planet. For the most part they’re cheap (with a few exceptions) and will provide adequate drop and scratch protection. Cruzerlite has sent us one of their most popular cases, The Androidified Clone Army Case, for the Nexus 7 and we’re going to see how it stacks up to the competition.
If you have been rooting and flashing custom ROMS on Android for any period of time then you’re going to be familiar with the ever popular MIUI ROM. Being one of the most popular ROMs in Gingerbread, it has worked its’ way up over the years and finally found its’ way onto Jelly Bean devices. When I first purchased my Galaxy Nexus I had given MIUI a shot only to be disappointed. It was when MIUI was first ported over to ICS/Galaxy Nexus and I had an experience plagued with bugs. I was flashing ROMs like crazy at the time so I simply switched to something else and MIUI slipped my mind for the coming months. MIUI will never go away for long though, with one of the largest communities for a custom ROM and the popular iOS-esque style interface, MIUI continues to grow and improve daily. Thanks to Google and it’s fantastic ability to search everywhere at once, we were lucky enough to stumble upon a solution on the Google Chrome Forum. [Read more...]
While manufacturers fall further behind on updating devices, development teams like Cyanogenmod and AOKP strive to keep these devices up to date. Paying hundreds of dollars for a device only for it to be dropped a few months later is a real bummer; thankfully custom ROMs breathe new life into older devices as they continue to receive the latest and greatest operating systems. As of last night, AOKP has started to release Jelly Bean builds to the older Galaxy S line as well as newer builds for the current nexus devices. [Read more...]
