If you’ve owned an Android device for long then you realize just how important it is to keep an eye on storage and how to manage it – but if you haven’t, then the way things work can become a little frantic, especially when storage starts disappearing. Thankfully, there’s an easy way to track down what’s stealing up that precious space with a simple application called DiskUsage.
Where’s my space going?
Like the name implies, DiskUsage is an application that displays the current level of storage space being used and then breaks it down further folder by folder to show you what application is being the space hog. The user interface is renowned for being simple and to the point to keep from wasting time.
On the left is the total storage of the area chosen, which then extends to the right by sub-folder giving you the most detailed examination without having to navigate through multiple windows. As if the application wasn’t useful enough as is, the developer of both DiskUsage and Solid Explorer have integrated the application into each other’s; the integration makes finding and managing space consuming applications easy and quick.
Users who have smaller internal storages, like the Nexus 7 8GB, can find the application incredibly useful for helping free up leftover application data to make room for more games and applications.
