We’re starting up a new section on our site called Indie Apps of The Week, with the hopes of bringing a larger audience to small or first time developers and the apps they create. Many of these applications have as few as 50 installs, and we’re here to help bring that number up. So help us out and take a look at these many apps that we’ll be showcasing over time!

First up: NinjaRave

     NinjaRave is a 8-bit styled application which provides a quick and easy method of solving disputes between a few people; instead of arguing or doing a far less interesting rock-paper-scissors round, you and a friend each grab a side of the phone and wait until the word “FIGHT” randomly appears on the screen. After doing so, the first person to tap the screen on their side slices the other in half and wins that round. A counter is presented at the bottom to help quickly keep track of score without manually writing it down.

8-bit Heaven

     While the game doesn’t offer an in-depth story or hundreds of hours of gameplay, it does present you with a quick tool to settle quick disputes – and it does so with a fantastic 8-bit interface and soundtrack. With the visual style of Bit Trip Runner, and a soundtrack similar to Super Meat Boy, this game offers an awesome combination to keep you on edge while running it.
