Motorola Xoom Ice Cream Sandwich – Second Look – Updated Build

Not even an hour later razorbladex401 works his miracle of compiling the AOSP bits and has developed a near perfect build. And when we say Near Perfect, we mean it. Besides the non-functioning camera, this version of ICS for the Motorola Xoom Wifi is crazy fast. Multitasking through the applications and browsing the internet felt like we were using a whole new device, perhaps a device running a quad core. Seriously folks, ICS is no joke when it comes to updating all of our old devices and making them new again. Everything works as advertised including the resizable widgets, market and other google apps (via a flashable .zip), and many games. The green flashing screen has already been addressed and fixed and is looking to be a more stable build by the minute.

We tested a few of the various applications included as well as installing Apparatus and they all ran even smoother than expected. Google has really outdone themselves this time around.

We’re really excited to see just how far Ice Cream Sandwich will take us with all of our devices, and perhaps even bring Android back up in the tablet market. Goodbye Honeycomb, welcome a whole new experience.
