The new 3D smartphone form LG – the LG Optimus 3D Max- has officially been announced. This device succeeds the LG Optimus 3D of last year, and will be shown off at Mobile World Congress 2012.
The display is 4.3 inches (which is pretty big, even with the 5-inch LG Optimus Vu and 5.3-inch Samsung Galaxy Note) with glasses-free 3D viewing. Its 5MP dual lens camera is capable of capturing 3D video as well. You can switch to 2D on the device, if you choose.
Other specs include a 1.2GHz Dual-Core processor, 1,520mAh battery (not the most impressive), 8GB internal storage with 1GB internal memory, and Android 2.3. The OS version is the same as the device’s predecessor from the year before. LG says Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) will be available shortly after the release.
No details on when we’ll be seeing it, or how much it’ll cost. I’m sure we’ll learn more at MWC.
