Get your recipes and kitten pictures ready because Pinterest is finally out for Android! Fans of the picture sharing service have been eagerly awaiting its’ arrival on the Play Store and they will be happy to know that Pinterest is now available. The Play Store has been filled with 3rd party variants of a Pinterest app for quite some time as the young social service grew. Unfortunately, these are pretty terrible and failed to deliver an enjoyable experience. So, that left Pinterest itself to fill the gap.
After releasing an iOS application for their popular service many users believed that Pinterest would be releasing an Android app soon after. That wasn’t the case though and Android users have had to wait over a year to see Pinterest in the Google Play Store. Rumors started circulating around Google I/O about a Pinterest app, but no release date was planned and users were once again left using Pinterest in their mobile browsers. Fortunately the application does deliver a stellar experience to those who are fans of the service. The UI fits right in to the Android ecosystem, which is a big relief to see that it isn’t a shoddy iOS to Android port. You will be able to access all the important functions related to Pinterest. Access to your account settings is a bit limited unfortunately and any major changes will need to take place on the website itself. With an extremely simple interface and menus that are easy to navigate you will have everything you need at your disposal to re-pin pictures on the go.
Take a peek at some screenshots below and go ahead and try for yourself with this link to the Play Store. Happy Pinning!
