Qmadix Metalix Snap-On Cover Review

With Samsung finally designing a phone that is uniform on all carriers and as of today an estimated 10,000,000 units have been sold; It is safe to say that there are a plethora of cases to choose from for the Galaxy SIII. Already there are more cases than you can shake a stick at and more are being released everyday. If you’re looking for that ultimate protection then you’re going to want to go with an OtterBox Defender or a Seidio Convert Case. If your life isn’t full of adventure or you don’t work outside then that kind of case isn’t necessary. Instead you will have a much larger range of cases to choose from. The Qmadix Metalix Snap-On Cover is a pretty fair choice in the broad range of hard-shell cases.

It’s no question that the Samsung Galaxy SIII is a powerful device with an extremely sleek design. To many people, keeping the device thin is just as important as keeping the phone safe. The Qmadix Metalix Snap-On cover offers some sturdy protection while still contributing to retaining the devices sleekness. Built out of hard plastic, the Metalix Snap-On Cover offers durable scratch protection, but provides little additional grip. The back of the plastic is extremely slick and smooth, about the same texture as the back of the phone. This will help with keeping that sleek feel, but if you’re looking for some additional grip, this case won’t provide that.

There are aluminum accents across the back of the case creating a pretty aesthetically pleasing design. This aluminum surrounds what’s probably one of the biggest features about this case, the built-in kickstand. This kickstand follows a similar trend of cases with kickstands these days and is designed for use in portrait. There still hasn’t been a logical reason to use widescreen phones in portrait mode on a kickstand, but if that’s your thing it’s there for you. As for the rest of us; thankfully, the kickstand can still be used in landscape mode. Perfect for watching videos, looking at pictures and playing games. The kickstand is pretty easy to pull out, but for some reason can be extremely stubborn to fold back down.

With access to all of the phones features, the Qmadix Metalix Snap-On Cover is a pretty solid choice for phone protection. Ringing in at around $25, it isn’t so much a budget case, if you are looking to save money there are much cheaper alternatives. If you do decide to take the plunge, the Metalix Snap-On Cover will be a reliable case that retains the sleekness of the Galaxy SIII.
