Archos is coming out with something that’s pretty impressive- the Archos G9 series tablets. There are two size options- an eight inch model with 1024-by-768 resolution, and 10.1 with 1280×800 resolution.

The tablets will be running Honeycomb 3.1, have dual-core 1.5 GHz processors, 250GB of storage, and an HDMI output with 1080p media playback. Best part? The 8 inch version will hit the market at $279, and the larger, only $349. Awesome. We’ll be seeing these cheaper tablet options come September.

Rumors of Amazon Android Tablet Getting More Detailed

There’s no creative way to say this anymore- there are more rumors over the possibility of an Amazon tablet. It’s understood by most that ones easily on its way, but there haven’t been many leads as to when or what we’ll be dealing with. Well, PC Mag may be on to something, and claims to have a source with all the answers.

According to their source, we’ll be seeing two models powered by a Nvidia’s Tegra quad-core chip; one 10 inch and on 7 inch with an LCD display. Apparently, Amazon wanted to give their users the ability to switch between a colored LCD screen and a black and white E Ink-like display for easy reading, but this would take to long and Amazon is supposedly planning the release of their tab(s) in time for the holidays.

Some new images of Motorola’s 10-inch Honeycomb Tablet have surfaced thanks to Mr. Burrycam, and it looks like it’s been branded by none other than the Big Red. We’re not sure on a definite name for the beast yet, but it’s being tossed between Stingray, Everest, or Trygon. Some confirmed specs include a 1GHz Tegra 2 T20 processor, 1280 x 800 multitouch screen, 32GB onboard storage, 512MB RAM, Micro USB port, Mini-HDMI port, 3.5 headphone jack, front facing camera, and even an additional micro-USB slot allowing for up to another 32GB of storage.

Woow Digital's Tegra 2 Tablet and quot; The One and quot; Packs a Tegra 2 Core with Gingerbread

Feast your eyes on The One. Yes, that’s what Woow Digital is calling their newest Tegra 2 tablet, and it appears to be nothing short of impressive. The One will operate with Gingerbread and contains an NVIDIA Tegra 2 core, 16GB of flash storage, and 1GB of RAM. Of course the tablet will come with all the bells and whistles such as WiFi, WCDMA 3G and Bluetooth while Android 2.3 will display on a crisp 10-inch screen with a 1024 x 600 resolution. The image above shows the tablet running the game Dungeon Defenders, and surely we can agree that it’s definitely looking snazzy. As it is with most of the newest toys, The One will not be available to us in the States for it’s initial launch, however Japan will have first dibs on the Tegra 2 tablet before Christmas this year with an estimated price tag of $504. Check out some more shots of The One below.

Advent Vega Tegra 2 Tablet Sells Out on Launch Day in the UK

Today the 10-inch Advent Vega went on sale over in the UK, and if you weren’t in stores right at launch, then chances are you’ve missed out because this tablet has officially sold out until stocks are replenished in another couple weeks. Could it be the Nvidia Tegra 2 that powers this beast is what’s to blame for the popular demand? We think so.

Creative Introduces 7-inch and amp; 10-inch Android 2.1 Tablets

Can’t say we expected Creative to jump in the tablet game, but these last few months have been full of surprises. We’re looking at 7-inch (480 x 800) and 10-inch (1024 x 768) tablets, packing Android 2.1, ZiiLabs ZMS-08 processors, WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, and microSD expansion. Both units are scheduled to ship in December this year, but if you think we’ll be seeing these in the States as soon as the UK – think again. The 7-incher will run you around €229 for the 8 giger and €259 for the 16GB. The mac-daddy 10-incher on the other hand will cost €289 (8GB), and €319 (16GB). Not too shabby, assuming they’ll be upgradable to Gingerbread.
