Google launches Chrome for Android beta

Chrome for Android beta 4.0

Chrome has launched in the Android Market for phones and tablets operating 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). This is the first “official” Chrome to be released for Android. Since it’s a beta rollout, it’s not going to be a game changer for how use utilize your mobile browser, but it definitely creates a more fluid way of browsing, and for that alone Google gets an A for effort from me!

New Onkyo TA117 Android 2.2 Tablet Emerges with Tegra 250 Chip

Another new tablet is making its into the market, and with this device’s impressive specs, it’s sure to give the rest a run for their money. The Onkyo TA117 is a 10.1-inch Android 2.2 Tablet that features a 1024 x 600 resolution touch screen, NVIDIA’s Tegra 250 (1GHz), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, WiFi, MicroSD Expansion, HDMI Out and a 1.3 MP front facing camera.

There’s two models to this tablet, the TA117C3 and TA117C1. The C3 model is the more beefy one, with 1GB of memory and 16GB of storage while the lower end C1 only have 512MB of DDR2 RAM ang 8GB of storage.

While there’s no word on prices or release dates for either units, surely we’ll be seeing more of these at CES in January.

Grab the Samsung Galaxy Tab for just $499 at Best Buy

If the Samsung Galaxy Tab was out of your price range before, then you’ll be pleased to know that Best Buy is dropping the price of the Tablet a whole $100 from the contract-free price of $599. There’s no serious obligations by grabbing the Galaxy Tab at this new price, but you do have to sign up for just 1 month, but after that month it’s all yours to do whatever you please with no further contract terms. For $499 you can’t really go wrong for the Galaxy Tab.

Germany Receives White Samsung Galaxy S Minus Android 2.2

The white Galaxy S has already made its way to the UK, and is now being launched in Germany. Oddly, this model doesn’t come with Android 2.2 stock, but Android 2.1. Rumors are being tossed around that it may see it’s Froyo or even Gingerbread update by early 2011. We should also note that the back may be white, but the front will still sport the original black color. You can grab the whitecoat from Amazon Germany for only €463.99 Unlocked.
