and quot;Official Droid Bionic and quot; Twitter Page Announces Release Date, Verizon and Motorola Both Deny Ownership of Account

According to the “Official Motorola Droid Bionic Twitter page,” we’ll be able to get ahold of the highly anticipated Bionic September 8; too bad the Twitter isn’t actually “official.”

PC Mag reported that they’ve been in contact with both Motorola and Verizon over the Twitter account, and that both companies are denying involvement or creation of “@DroidBionic.”

Even without confirmation that the page is a fake, it was suspected as such based on the feed’s grammatical mistakes. Regardless, it has some 2,300+ followers, and several news sites are reporting the Tweet as official confirmation of the release date. It’s still quite possible for the Droid Bionic to be available September 8, but it’s certainly not official.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi Edition Released Soon

Thanks to Samsung’s official Twitter, we have been informed that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wifi will be released soon; The Honeycomb 3.0 device is equipped with a Tegra 2 processor, front and rear facing cameras with 8MP and 2MP respectively, and comes in a 16 and 32 GB model. Although the tablet was announced back in February, the release date for the 10.1 is closing in quickly (June 8th).

You can sign up on the Samsung website to receive more information on release dates and opportunities to purchase in the near future, and if you want more information on the device itself check out Android Central’s Post on the Galaxy Tab 10.1. The pricing for the 10.1 tab 32 GB Wifi is $599, which is the same as the Wifi Xoom: with all of the development and modifications for the Honeycomb 3.1 equipped Xoom that is already out (like being able to overclock to 1.6Ghz), which would be the smarter choice?

Samsung Infuse 4G Gets a Price Tag and Date

Today, Samsung and AT&T finally let everyone know when they can get their hands on the Infuse 4G, and just how much it will cost to do that. On May 15th we will be seeing the smartphone hit the stores at the 2-year contract price of $199 (fortunately mail in rebate-less).

This rather large phone may come off as intimidating with its 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus touch screen, but its surprisingly thin at 8.9mm.

The phone features a 1.2GHz processor, 8MP and 1.3MP cameras, 16GB of internal memory, and it will be running Android 2.2.
