Sprint Now Offering Galaxy Tab for Just $299 w/ 2-Year Agreement

There’s been a lot of price cuts on the Samsung Galaxy Tab lately, and now Sprint’s jumping in the game to throw their best offer against the rest of the competition. So what does this mean? Well, it means that Sprint’s now taking $100 off it’s contract price, and dropping it to only $299 after you sign up for a 2-year contract. This makes Sprint the second best spot to grab the Samsung Galaxy Tab, while the best offer is still through US Cellular who’s offering it for the super-low price of just $200 with contract. Surely the Motorola XOOM’s upcoming launch must be causing some anxiety with select carriers, and we’re not so sure these minor price cuts will convince even the most die-hard tablet fanatics. I know personally, unless I can pick up a Galaxy Tab for $100 with no contract… I’ll still be saving up for the XOOM when it launches. Yeah, it’s that good.

Verizon Drops Price of Samsung Galaxy Tab to $499

Looks like we’re going to see another price drop on the Samsung Galaxy Tab, this time through Verizon. Although the price change isn’t posted on either Samsung or Verizon’s online store yet, the $100 price drop from it’s original tag of $599 is already featured at a variety of walk-in locations. To sweeten up this deal, The Big Red is throwing in $60 worth of free movie rentals through Samsung’s Media Hub or the Blockbuster App.

If you happened to purchase the Galaxy Tab within the last 14 days prior to this reduction, don’t fret. You can run back to your Verizon store and they’ll give your $100 refund. All is well, right?

Sprint Announces 4G Tablet Due in 2011; Android or Windows?

Sprint is well aware of the demand for 4G, not only on smartphones but on tablets as well. We weren’t lucky enough to get to experience the speeds that 4G brings us with the Sprint Galaxy Tab, but an executive over at Sprint has told Forbes that a 4G tablet is in the works for a launch of 2011. The company also noted that they intend to sell tablets with different operating systems, another than Android, but we can’t assume that they’d leave a fresh Honeycomb tablet behind say, a Windows OS tablet. Only time will tell.

Samsung Reaches 600,000 Galaxy Tab Sales Worldwide

Originally Samsung predicted that their newest tablet, The Galaxy Tab would hit 1 million in sales before the years end, and it appears that they are well on their way to hitting their quota. Currently the company reports that they have sold around 600,000 Galaxy Tabs worldwide, and it hasn’t even been available for more than a month! Pretty darn impressive in terms of demand. We see no reason why pushing out another 400k units would be a hard task, especially with the Black Friday and Holiday specials right around the corner.
