Gameloft: Android Receiving First Unreal Engine Game Soon

Ready for some more “console-like” graphics on your Android? Thanks to the Tegra 2 chip a trend has started with major graphic-overhauls in mobile video gaming. Gameloft has released a trailer for their new game March Of Heroes ( MoH, Medal of Honor? They’re really good at that.) which will be using the Unreal engine to be produce the beautiful graphics that we want to see on our tablets and Dual core devices alike. The Unreal engine has been seen in many modern games like Gears of War, Mass Effect, and various other well known titles.

With the use of the new engine they development between multiple platforms will be sped up and games will become more easily transferable between PC, Mac, Android, and iOS devices. You can view the embedded video below for some of the gameplay that coming up in their new game March of Heroes:

Android News Weekly Wrap Up 12-31-2010

This weeks news brings a lot of new things leading up to the new year and a lot of news saved for the first week of January at the International CES. This week we do know that the new Sony xperia device will run Android 2.3, a bestbuy leak of the evo shift, dell streak with t-mobile branding, gameloft to add 10 new HD games, and the android market has hit 200,000 apps!

10 New HD Games for Android to Be Launched From GameLoft.com

We’ve been hearing a lot of buzz lately regarding Gameloft developing some sweet titles for the Android platforms, and a new video released by the company confirms that we do, in fact have a bunch of titles to look forward to. Games such as Spiderman Total Mayhem, Fishing Kings, GR Racing, Real Soccer 2011, Miami Vindication, Oregon Trail, Shrek Kart Racing, Brothers in Arms 2, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, Let’s Golf 2 and Gangstar Miami Vindication will start becoming available throughout the rest of December, but can only be downloaded directly from Gameloft.com, not the Android Market. Your best bet for grabbing any of these titles is to access the Gameloft website from your Android device. This eliminates any of the hassle of using your desktop PC and transferring the data that way.

HTC Rolls Out Update for EVO 4G Adding SWYPE, Kindle eReader and amp; More

HTC has announced that a new update has been released for the HTC EVO 4G bringing us a handful of new features that are sure to enhance the browsing and UI experience. New features include:

  • SWYPE Keyboard
  • Scan Now Widget for 4G
  • Kindle eReader
  • Blockbuster (including WM DRM 10)
  • NOVA game from Gameloft
  • Sprint Zone update
  • Latest Telenav
  • Latest VVM App
  • Latest Sprint TV app

Having SWYPE on the EVO is reason enough to go grab the software update, so get to it!
