HTC One X+ The Next Big Thing?

HTC today officially announced details and specifications for their highly anticipated product the HTC One X+. HTC announced that the device will be available in both Asian and European markets this month with a future North American release. The One X+ is being released with the HTC Sense-TM 4+ skin, as well as being bundled with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).The One X+ is a little bigger this time coming in with a whopping 4.7-inch display with an equally impressive 64GB of internal storage. Android 4.1 will appear for Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 and Tab 2 7.0

Samsung sure doesn’t have have tunnel vision with bringing 4.1 to the Galaxy S3. Rumor has it, today they are starting the first Android 4.1 tests for Samsung’s tablets. While Samsung did already confirm this for the Note 10.1, its plans for the Tab 2 line have yet to be confirmed. Early Thoughts on MIUI for Jelly Bean

If you have been rooting and flashing custom ROMS on Android for any period of time then you’re going to be familiar with the ever popular MIUI ROM. Being one of the most popular ROMs in Gingerbread, it has worked its’ way up over the years and finally found its’ way onto Jelly Bean devices. When I first purchased my Galaxy Nexus I had given MIUI a shot only to be disappointed. It was when MIUI was first ported over to ICS/Galaxy Nexus and I had an experience plagued with bugs. I was flashing ROMs like crazy at the time so I simply switched to something else and MIUI slipped my mind for the coming months. MIUI will never go away for long though, with one of the largest communities for a custom ROM and the popular iOS-esque style interface, MIUI continues to grow and improve daily. After hearing it’s recent build on Jelly Bean I decided to put push my hesitations to the side and give it another shot.

Mapsaurus: A Better Way to Find Apps

Finding apps is not always the easiest through the Play Store. More often than not smaller apps are brushed to the side and struggle to gain popularity. Now, some of them will get lucky and some blog might pick them up, but for the rest the future looks dim. There is really no easy way to find apps similar to ones that you already have. Holo Themed Sudoku Has Arrived

Sudoku games are notoriously bad about having atrocious interfaces. Each one looks as though it was designed for some of the original Android devices. A little known app named Holoku is currently sporting one of the nicest Sudoku interfaces in the entire Play Store. For all of you Sudoku fans, this is the application you have been waiting for. Sticking to the Android design guidelines and using a holo theme, Holoku is optimized for even 7-inch tablets such as the Nexus 7. The developer, kcoppock, has promised everyone monthly updates for the game, such as new boards, that will all be completely free. That is, if you need more Sudoku. Nexus 7 Travel Case Review

It is no doubt that the Google Nexus 7 is the hot new tablet on the market. Each one is flying off of the shelves faster than they can be replaced and like all new devices there is an extremely meager number of cases available to the tablet. Currently one of the few options available is the Nexus 7 Travel Case, made by Asus, available on the Google Play Store. With little information to go by on the Play store listing page and being shipped a couple of weeks after the Nexus 7 itself; the question is, was it worth the wait?

Dead Trigger, A Beautiful Letdown


This should be a review on how Dead Trigger is the best new game for the Android platform, this should be an review on how Mad Fingers has amazed us all with fantastic game play like their last hit Shadow Gun. This should be a review on how great Dead Trigger is. This is none of those. Dead Trigger is a game with an endless amount of potential that has been crippled by in app purchases and pay to win strategies. Five dollars for Shadow Gun seemed like the perfect amount, you received quite the bang for your buck and was able to enjoy a game without in-app purchases being shoved into your face. This is what should have happened to Dead Trigger.

Solid Explorer 2 (BETA) Review

Every Android user is aware of the necessity of a decent file manager for their phone. Often times file managers aren’t extremely aesthetically pleasing or rich with features, but most users tend to look past that picking whatever application provides the most features. There is one explorer that has reset the bar for these utilities. Solid Explorer 2, developed by KRZYSZTOF GŁODOWSKI, is a pleasant surprise and a head above the rest in the field of file management. Users new to managing files on an Android device will be pleased to know that the app features a detailed tutorial on its’ various features. Several pages of pictures and descriptions remove any uneasiness newer users to Android might have.
