HTC Evo 4G To Recieve Gingerbread Soon?

As you can see from the screenshot above from Sprint’s website, the HTC Evo will now be shipping with Android 2.3. Like always, XDA has had a leaked 2.3 release out since April (already has the works, including root) but will the official update be rolling out soon? There is no information on coming from Sprint at this time whether or not there will be an OTA update on the device, or if there will, when it will be released. You can check out the Sprint site here to see for yourself.

New Shots of the Motorola DROID 3

Here we have the Motorola DROID 3, which has only been spotted about twice prior to today. As you can see, the unusually thinner screen seems to fit quite well with it’s full QWERTY keyboard. The DROID 3 also sports an HDMI port on the side of the device. As we wait for more official specs to roll in, check out an additional shot of the DROID 3 below.

Motorola ATRIX 4G multimedia dock price leaked at $60

First off, special thanks to the people over at Fommy.com who have leaked the price of the new ATRIX 4G multimedia dock at a nice $60. This dock is not just any old dock that charges the phone. You can connect the dock to a computer or a TV via microHDMI to HDMI to run Motorola apps on a bigger screen. The dock also has three USB ports to connect a keyboard, mouse, or a external hard drive. We don’t have to long of a wait to see if the leaked price is in fact true with the ATRIX 4G rolling out in February. There is also is a pre-order page on Fommy.com for the more standard dock at a price of $50.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play aka Playstation Phone Gets Gutted

Well would you look at what we have here!? It’s the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play getting gutted by a rather lucky bloke that got his hands on the mystery device. We still haven’t heard any official announcement from Sony Ericsson yet for the Xperia Play, and not even a slip-up from any of the reps at CES. When I hit up Digital Experience before the CES Show, I stopped by Sony’s booth and tried to pry some info out, and although they have to keep their mouths shut, they gave enough hints that it was definitely coming soon. However, after visiting Sony’s booth at CES, it wasn’t the same story. After checking out the Xperia Arc I was on my way to talk to one of the gents about the Xperia Play when I overheard another guy bring it up and not only did the rep act like it never existed and didn’t know anything about it, he got a little nasty with the guy after being questioned.

Fair enough Sony, we’ll wait it out. But take a gander at these new pictures that have surfaced and tell us if you’re not convinced.

New Mystery Images of Incredible HD with LTE?

While we’re on the hot topic of new images of upcoming devices with LTE capabilities, you just may fancy this little beast. As you can see from both images, it’s still a bit unclear exactly what we’re looking at, but it seems everyone’s best guess is that it’s the HTC Incredible HD (HTC Mecha). At any rate, it’s worth a look. Leave a comment and let us know what you think it may be!

New Images of the HTC EVO Shift 4G Emerge

The folks over at PhoneArena have managed to get a few new shots of the upcoming HTC EVO Shift 4G. As you can see the device is smaller than the original HTC EVO 4G, and it’s been noted that the device will also sport an 800MHz processor instead of 1GHz. I’m glad to see some new images of the EVO Shift 4G, as it make’s the device not so much a rumor anymore. Take a look at a couple more images below.

Samsung Nexus S Shown Running Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread

What you’re looking at here is the Nexus S (Nexus Two) running what looks like Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Blurry as ever, you know we couldn’t expect anything more at this point. Rumor still is floating around that we may see the new Gingerbread OS on the Nexus One this week, but as time is running out, we’re not sure how legit that really is. We’ve also obtained a couple other new shots of the device below for your viewing pleasure.

Some new images have leaked out of a couple upcoming Acer Android devices, and though they are sure nice to look at… there’s still no new details on either device. The first image above is the Acer Liquid Metal Android smartphone, looking rather prim and proper with its 3.6-inch display, and below is an unnamed Acer tablet which appears to be running Android 2.2.

[LEFT]We’ve heard that the Acer Liquid Metal could possibly launch in the UK around the end of this month, but hopefully we’ll be getting more details in the weeks to come on both devices. Until now- enjoy the eye candy!
