Facebook Version 1.6 for Android is now Available

The latest Facebook update is now available for your Android device.

There are a few tweaks that come with the 1.6 version. There’s better Facebook page browsing- the pages now open up easily through the application.

More importantly to most users is the new ability to upload videos. This is most convenient since you can now record videos from your Android device and directly upload them to the Facebook app without any extra steps.

Overall, the update makes things a bit easier, but we’re still waiting for some things (tagging pics?). The update is manual so you’ll have to go into your Apps to get it for your device.

HTC EVO Shift 4G gets Gingerbread (Manually)

The upgrade to Gingerbread will be officially and automatically available for your EVO Shift 4G come Monday, but if you’re ready for your phone to be updated right now, you’re free to do so manually. Even though the above image says tomorrow, you can actually grab it today!

It goes like this- open your Settings app, hit System Updates, then ”HTC Software Update”. BAM! Updated.

Actually, it’ll probably take an additional ten minutes to complete the download. But after that, bug fixes, Swype, and other extra Gingerbready crumbs will be brought for your phone.
