Androidified A2 TPU Case Review for the Motorola Atrix HD

The Atrix HD was one of the first HD smartphones by Motorola released in America, and being such, people loyal to the brand went out and grabbed it as soon as possible. Considering the low price point, it’s a pretty good deal for those just getting introduced into Android and for those looking to renew a contract. While there aren’t many cases out for the device, considering it was shadowed by the many other releases right-beside it, Cruzerlite has went out of the way to ensure that you have the usual quality protection for a low price.

Krusell ActionCover Case for the Samsung Galaxy Note

In a world of beautiful cases and holsters, Krusell tries hard to ensure that none of their products stand up to those expectations: except for the Krusell ActionCover for the Samsung Galaxy Note. The ActionCover provides decent protection, pretty good looks, awful grip, and a built in kickstand for those who like to use their Note in a portrait mode to watch movies or listen to music. Unfortunately though , that’s not very many of us so choosing whether or not to purchase this case is an easy decision.

Product Review: Motorola Xoom Folio Case

When purchasing a new electronic device, I always try to get the best and most functional protection for it, considering I just invested a few hundred dollars into it. For a tablet, I expected to get a sort of folio case since it was proven to be an intelligent design with the iPad. I eventually sided with the Motorola Folio, mainly because it was one of the few available for the device.

The Good: The case felt very sturdy and the materials are top of the line. They offered great protection of the device but still leaves the components open to be able to use them when necessary. The only open parts of the device are a small line across the top, the volume buttons, and a strip across the back for the camera, LED, speakers, and the power button. Everything is easily accessible and doesn’t block the functionality at all when using it. The stand can be set up to watch Movies, Videos, or if you have a wireless keyboard, to make it at a comfortable position to type on. It is made out of a heavy material which doesn’t scratch or mark, and includes a thin layer of padding for short drops or if something bumps into the device on accident. The case still will include access to the SD Card slot when it becomes available, so there is no need to remove it.

The Not So Good: There isn’t a whole lot I can complain about the case, but one thing that is kind of annoying is the plastic “latch” in the case. It goes around the top of the device and clips it onto it, so it stays closed for carrying. It becomes uncomfortable when opening the flap all the way around and using it in a portrait mode as it protrudes about an inch out. The Charging port, USB port, and HDMI port are all blocked and do not include a cutout, a small disappointment as it makes things a tad bit less easy to access. Although, when open, flipping the device 180 from the normal landscape mode puts the ports up top and does not interfere at that point any more.

Overall the case does exactly what it says and is exceptional for use in landscape mode, which is what most tablet users do anyway. It does not interfere at all with any of the functionality of the buttons or speakers, because of the design you are still able to hear all of the notifications even when the folio case is closed which is a nice touch when you use it for constant email or Facebook chatting. The two major design flaws can both be “remedied” by flipping the device in the other portrait or landscape direction which gives access and comfort to the areas needed. It’s well worth the money to ensure the protection of your device, you can grab the Motorola Folio Case in the DroidNerds accessory store.
